JIS College of Engineering, an institution of academic excellence was established in the year 2000 with a cherished desire to serve humanity through education.

The JIS College of Engineering has blossomed into six value Added Centers such as British Council Centre for Communication Skills, NPTEL Centre for Value Addition, TATA Technologies Centre, CII Centre for Innovations and a Centre of Excellence, created by a joint partnership with Universities of the Russian Federation.

In a mission of transforming education, in 2017 JISCE made a quantum jump in the pedagogical initiative through Flipped learning-and emerged as first fully Flipped Institute in India as endorsed by AICTE, MHRD,Govt. of India.

There has been a radical change in overall infrastructure through 24 Flipped classrooms, two number digital studios and Flipped learning discussion room. The uniqueness of a Flipped class is low end cognitive skills like remembering & understanding are done at home, while its application, critical evaluation of the concept and creating new ideas are done in a vibrant classroom environment. The teacher’s role is elevated to that of the moderator of a brainstorming session.

Each of these rooms has wired and wi-fi connectivity,Audio Visual presentation through LCD projector and complimenting Sound System.

Being an Autonomous Institute, we provide a curriculum that reflects the latest trends of industrial revolution through Industry 4.0.

All these efforts have been recognized through NIRF ranking in successive years 2020 (Rank Band 251 to 300) and in 2021 (Rank Band 200 to 250), 2022 NIRF Rank (Rank Band 200 to 250), 2023 NIRF Innovation Rank (Rank Band 100 to 150).

JISCE has a vibrant Institutional Innovation Council(Highest Star ranked since its inception in 2019) and received a rank in the band 26 to 50 in ARIIA 2020; band excellence category 2021 as approved by MoE innovation Cell with its peripheries extended over a variety of activities such as Idea Competition, Technical Symposium (JIS Tech), IPR awareness, Start-up activities, Networking with Industry and Institute of repute.

JISCE has been also selected as Mentor Institutions under the Mentor-Mentee Program 2021-24 (With Funding Assistance from MIC/AICTE).

JISCE has set up Centre of excellence in collaboration with Russia.

The Institute has received TEQIP 1.2 grant Phase-II and has a vibrant R&D atmosphere with more than 1500+ publications in SCOPUS/WS/TR/SCI-indexed journals [https://jiscollege.irins.org/], more than 16 crore of funded projects from DST, CSIR, UGC, AICTE, NRDC and so forth JISCE has received prestigious AICTE IDEA Lab grant in 2022 and received a grant of 97.7 lacs (50:50 mode). AICTE IDEA Lab at JISCE would be a centre for fostering ideas into product development, mentoring and incubation towards Startup creations.
